What are the date inclusions for the 2024 nominated projects?
Projects nominated for the 2024 AMaGAs must have been produced between 1 July 2022 and 31 December 2023

What are the opening and closing dates for the Awards?
Nominations open on 12 March 2024 and close on 28 June 2024.

When will the Awards be presented?
The Awards will be presented at the AMaGA National Conference in Ballarat, Victoria on 17 September 2024.

Do I have to buy a ticket to the National Conference to attend the Awards ceremony?
No. There will be separate Awards tickets available for purchase. Please see the National Conference website or contact AMaGA National for more information.

How do I vote for the People's Choice Award?
The ballots for People's Choice Award will be circulated to AMaGA members and conference attendees following the shortlist announcement in mid-August. Feel free to contact AMaGA National with any questions.

Can I submit a hard-copy of my design project past the closing date?
No. In order to ensure a smooth assessment process, all hard-copy entries must be received on or before the closing date.

Can I drop-off a hard-copy of my design project directly to the AMaGA National Office?
No. Hard-copy submissions will only be accepted via AMaGA National's PO Box.

What constitutes a series of publications?
A series of publications are considered ‘as having the same design element ’ – a series of materials (e.g., a multi-volume set of books), where each individual component has clear and recognisable graphic similarities to the others and cannot be accurately judged alone.

Otherwise, you must either enter just one component of the series or enter multiple components as separate entries. For example, you cannot enter a book, poster and invitation for the same exhibition as a series, or catalogues that have been produced by one institution that has no design connection. However, you can enter three brochures with the same design but different information as a series.

To put it simply, same design, different exhibitions, OK.
Different design, different exhibitions, not OK.

How should we attach the registration number to physical design entries?
The registration number should be written on a piece of paper and attached using removable tape or removable sticky dots. Please do not use ordinary sticky tape, paper clips, masking tape or staples(!!) as the judges may need to remove the number to accurately judge the entry.
